New Business Topics of Discussion:
President – Amy Hoff has regretfully withdrawn her name from the ballot for President due to health issues with her family. Since the bylaws state that a President must be elected, today’s voting will be postponed and the nomination period will be reopened. We are taking nominations for President, Secretary, and 2 Board Members. We will hold a special membership meeting next month to vote for the new board members.
Nominations
President – Whitney Reed from Smyrna resigns her Board Member Position and accepts the nomination by Rhiannon Salsman for President.
President – Mike Gallaway nominates Teresa Williams from St. John the Beloved for President. Teresa is not present at the meeting, but will be contacted to see if she accepts the nomination.
Board Member – Robin Smith from Campus nominates herself for Board Member, seconded by Danielle Dixon.
Board Member – Yvette Thompson from No Limit Hurricanes nominates herself for Board Member, seconded by Ashley Callahan.
Board Member – Mike Gallaway nominates Pete Burnham from Lake Forest for Board Member, he accepts.
Nominations will be left open for one week. All nominations must be emailed to Danielle Dixon by Saturday, August 23rd.
Date and Location for States is still being discussed. Tentative date is March 8, 2015.
Any organizations wishing to host states at their facility should present a proposal to the BOD, no later than the next general membership meeting, so we are able to present the final date and location to the membership. Proposal should include Capacity, Parking, Layout, and Price (Facility, Security, Custodians, etc)
Rules & Regulations:
2014-2015 Qualifier Packet was presented to the membership with the revisions approved by the BOD.
Shauntae Ford would like to see a 16 & Under Division put back in to accommodate the Pop Warner teams that are members, as their organizations only go up to 15 years of age and would need to be in the senior division.
DCCA removed the 16 & Under division because USASF does not have those divisions and we followed the divisions and age groups from USASF as requested at the Rules & Regulations meeting held in July.
We will remove the 4 senior divisions as they show in the packet presented today. We will add the 16 & Under division back in as the Senior Division, which can compete Levels 1-5. We will add an Open Division back in as 18 & Under, Levels 1-5.
Score Sheets will be released at the next meeting. We are just waiting for Varsity to release their 2014-2015 score sheets. All divisions will transition to the Specialized Scoring this year.
Special General Membership Meeting: We will add a meeting in September to vote for the open board positions. Meeting to be held at The Greene Turtle in Lewes. Date TBD.
